Glow

Being a wife, mom of two, & lady boss brings a lot of to-do lists, running around and doing things for so many others. I hardly ever find time to do anything for just me. You all know what I’m talking about right?

I absolutely love my little tribe, so of course I will do anything for them. I am blessed & get to stay home with my girls. I get to take Rae to dance and basketball every week. Mia and I get a few hours a day to ourselves while big sis is at school and I cherish that time. I always make sure dinner is made, laundry is done, the house is clean, & try to have my stuff together so everyone has what they need. I’m not saying I have it all together all the time, but I do try. I share my space with other humans all day, every day.

Mama needs a day to herself though, am I right?!

So I invited a few of my girl friends, who I thought also needed time away and we made the trip to Des Moines Iowa for Ladies Alive. I knew that we would all be inspired, motivated and ready to take on the world again after this event. I was so right.

I am so thankful God put Advocare in my life. I have found that my closest friends are apart of this company and I never would have met them otherwise.

This weekend, my tank was filled like you wouldn’t believe. Being in a room full of powerful women is an incredible feeling. The ladies that shared their stories were Glowing and full of love. They shared their heart and inspired so many.

My very dear friend Jennie was one of these women that got to share her story on stage. It gives me goosebumps just thinking about how inspiring she is. I’ve never seen her speak with such truth and strength. Jennie, you are so powerful and worthy. I can’t wait to see where our story together goes. I love you and cherish our friendship.

God has seen the last few months of my life and my struggles. He knew I needed to get out of my normal surroundings and fill my Love tank. I needed my soul to be set on fire again. I think I can GLOW again.

I inspire you to go into the world, find those true friends, and hold them so dearly. We as women need to inspire each other, help each other, hold hands and make the world a better place—- TOGETHER. Stop the judgments. Stop the hate. Be kind to each other and help someone else find their glow again.

I hope that you know, I am here for you. If you need a friend to call when you’re feeling unworthy, I am here. When you need someone to cheer you on, I’m here. We need more love in this world. “Don’t glow so others can see you, glow so that they can see.”

I got to spend time with some of the most beautiful women this weekend and I will cherish that time forever. I can’t wait to go again next year.
