New Traditions

Happy Wednesday my friends!

It’s the day before Thanksgiving and I am so full of love and excitement. I do believe it’s partially because I took Clear Mood this morning, but mostly because God is GOOD!

This morning, I was able to teach Raelee what it’s like to give back. I had known we were going to do this, but wasn’t sure if she would completely understand. She is so sweet and understanding. She has a heart the size of the moon. We decided she could do her part by drawing the family a Thanksgiving card. I love that sweet little girl.

Our good friends, the Wright’s had found this family that needed help having a Thanksgiving meal. I love being able to give. It really makes you thankful for all that you have- even when you don’t think it’s much.

There are times I find myself stressed out, having a pity party, thinking negative thoughts about not having certain things or having a ton of extra money. I think we all find ourselves in that position from time to time. But, you know what, there are other people – families – out there that don’t even have a home to live in.

This time of year is not always easy financially. But when I look around, I know that God has blessed my family with a home, food on the table and we always seem to have exactly what we need. Being able to give back is such a great thing.

I know there are so many families out there that need help and I hope that we can continue to help throughout the holiday season. God is good and will always provide what we need so that we may share with others.

I’m so excited that this is our first Thanksgiving in our new home. Isaac and I decided to start a new tradition and have our own meal the night before Thanksgiving, since we will be with family tomorrow.

So friends, this is my very first time making a turkey…. pray for me. I have asked both of my parents for advice, used Pinterest and an old school Betty Crocker cook book. If it doesn’t turn out perfect then next year, we have ham!

It’s going to be a great weekend filled with laughter, story telling, kiddos playing and so much turkey. I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving with family and friends. Be thankful for all that you have. I’m thankful for all of you, your support and love.
