Blessings Upon Blessings

The sun is shining & the wind isn’t blowing a million miles an hour- – – Praise God!

I may be a little under the weather health wise, so I’m taking it easy today. I did get myself to the gym for leg/booty day. It was hard to breathe, but by golly, I did it.

I wanted to share with you all the updo’s I did this last weekend for my friend’s wedding.

I had such a blast hanging with this group of girls. Some of them I had met once, some I had never met & two I grew up with.

It was such a fun bridal party. Each one beautiful in her own way.

I may not work in a salon anymore, but traveling for wedding hair is seriously the best. I love being able to make a wedding party feel as beautiful on the outside as they are on the inside.

The Lied Lodge in Nebraska City was the venue for this wedding. I had been there before, since it was 30 minutes from where I grew up, but it’s been years.

I remembered how magical it was at Christmas time. They have trees decorated and a giant fireplace to set the mood.

My mom said we used to go see Santa there when we were little. I don’t remember that, but I do remember eating there a few times thinking it was way fancy.

The lodge reminds me of something you would see in a Hallmark Channel movie. It’s perfect.

The actual wedding was held in the most adorable little church. It was cozy and full of their friends and family. I literally had tears rolling down my cheeks watching Heidi & Ben say their vows.

This was the most beautiful winter wedding I’ve ever seen. Simple yet so classy.
