Love & Kindness

If you live in Nebraska, or the Midwest period, you know how cold it is today. Miserable!!

Stay inside with your blankets and have a Harry Potter marathon. It’s not worth going outside.

For the last few days, I’ve had one thing on my heart & mind. Love and kindness.

I got into my Jeep the other night to go to the gym and discovered my husband had been listening to our friend’s cd.

Austin Friesen is a local artist here in Grand Island. If you don’t know him, look him up on YouTube.

He’s real. I admire him for putting himself out there. For speaking what’s on his heart and soul.

In one of his songs, he says this:

“If you see someone in need, you give a helping hand. You don’t got the time to wait, this life is all you have.”

So I heard this while driving to the gym. And again on the way home. And again the next morning on my drive to work. Twice.

I can’t help but think about the world we live in and what needs to be done. The world we live in is so full of hate. Every day there is a new crime on the news.

There are too many homeless people. People that just need someone to guide them, help them. Kids that are starving in our own towns. Families that are cold and suffering.

You guys. We need to be kind and spread love. There are people out there that just need a smile to change their day around.

Being mean and hateful doesn’t help any situation. Be kind to everyone. Spread love like it’s confetti. We need to be the change in this world.

Pay for someone’s coffee or lunch. Donate clothes or groceries to those in need. Get a group together to collect donations together.

I had told you all on New Year’s Eve that this was the year I was going to help others. God is telling me this is my calling, my purpose.

I am going to make it my mission to spread love and kindness every day. Every day. I pray you all join me and snowball this mission. This will make a change in our community, our world.
