To the mom who drinks too much caffeine, I see you.
To the mom who yells too much, I am you.
To the mom who shuts herself in a room to cry, I feel you.
To the mom who goes to bed and regrets something she said to her child, I get it.
Remember when you had time to polish your nails, wash your hair or even sit down to eat?
Or the days of grocery shopping without having to say “no” over and over or worry about a tantrum being thrown in the middle of shopping?
You may have yelled too much, said no a thousands times, made a little cry or even cried a little yourself today, but know that you’re doing the best you can.
Being a mother is God’s gift that not everyone experiences. Embrace the mistakes, the bumps in the road. You are raising tiny humans to be powerful, independent and fierce.
And although I can’t remember the last time I was able to even pee alone, I am so incredibly thankful for my mini’s and this crazy, wildflower life I live. This is a stage of life I want to remember.
Some day, I will miss those tiny hands wanting to be held all the time. Or a baby on my hip. I’ll miss having littles with me at the grocery store or the loudness of our home.
Dont be so hard on yourself. You are doing the best you can.
Your little’s will still love you and want you. When they get hurt, they need their mommy. When they are sick, mom snuggles are best. They love you no matter what mistakes you think you’ve made.
Dont be so hard on yourself. You’re human. We all make mistakes. Being a mom is the hardest job out there.
We don’t get paid physical money, but get paid with something so much better. We get hugs and snuggles. We get to see our little’s become amazing humans. Our hearts are filled every day, even the hard days.
So for now, I’ll be that mom that drinks too much caffeine and hides in the laundry room to cry.
Polishing my nails is overrated anyways. Washing my hair just takes time and besides, the top knot is in style. And I’m burning calories by standing and eating, right?!
Cheers to all you mama’s out there just trying to do your best. I am right there with you.
