Simplicity is a Beautiful Thing

Alright mom friends.. I have had enough of the clutter. Stuff everywhere. All. The. Time.

I’m sick of storing stuff away in closets for a “maybe I’ll need that” situation. Will I ever need it? No. So why not just get rid of it?!

It’s driving me mad. I feel like purging every nook and cranny. Get rid of shoe boxes, the clothes none of us wear, the boxes upon boxes of home decor. It’s time. It has to go.

If you haven’t used or worn it in over a year, it’s time. Right?!

My kids have so many toys and the holidays are coming. It’s time to go through the mess and get rid of all the toys that are missing pieces, puzzles that can’t be completed and all those broken crayons?! Bless. They have to go.

Recently I told my husband that we should sell our house and live in a tiny house for a few years. Learn to absolutely love our possessions (the few that we could take) and literally just enjoy life.

When did have three TVs in one house become okay?! When did it become normal to fill every space in your house and be addicted to buying stuff just to buy it? It’s madness!

I can’t take it anymore.

Side note: my drinking a Spark at 4:00 may have a lot to do with this.. but it was bound to happen eventually.

It’s like when you’re pregnant and nesting.. {{which by the way I’m not pregnant, just crazy.}}

Husband, if by chance you do read this, I’m 100% serious about my tiny house plan. You think I can’t do it and that makes me want to do it more. I don’t think you could do it. You hoard waaaayyy more than I do.

This rant was brought to you by another fight with my kids over not wanting to pick up their toys. Little do they know that their toys are about to go buh-bye. Sorry, not sorry.

Kids should using their imagination. Exploring. Making up their own games. We don’t need 50 Barbie dolls. All of which are missing accessories and are running around the house naked.

Bless this mess I call my home. Soon it will be less cluttered and maybe then I can breathe… And not step on Barbie shoes in the middle of the night.
