Christmas has come and gone. The decorations are put away for the season. The house been rearranged and cleaned. And yet, I feel this weird “I’m not sure what to be doing” feeling.

Am I alone?

Is this the after holiday blues?

Don’t get me wrong, I’m totally diggin not having to go anywhere, wearing pjs, no makeup. You know this is my jam. {{side note: I have still managed to get my miles in at the gym or outside over break. I’m not a total couch potatoe.}}

But my routine is completely thrown off and I feel like it’s killin my vibe. This mama needs routine. Or at least somewhat to feel like I’m accomplishing something for the day.

I took a nap today and then instantly felt guilty for not doing something during that time. Are you kidding me? Take a nap and enjoy this time off! Bless.

Why must I feel like I need to be go go go in order to feel accomplished? And now that it’s Christmas break I feel worthless because we aren’t go go go. Lord help me. I need an intervention.

Slllooooow down self. Enjoy the peace. Enjoy the laziness. It is winter for the love of Pete. It’s not fun to be going all the time when it’s freezing and blizzarding out there.

I have so many plans for the new year that maybe this feeling is just my brain in limbo until January is here.

First of all, January is my favorite. NOT because it’s like the coldest month here in Nebraska. It’s my favorite because it’s birthday month. Yes, I am that person. I get the whole month. Don’t you dare judge me until you’ve tried it. You deserve to celebrate for a whole month also.

Stay tuned for all the exciting things that are going to happen in January alone. Seriously, you don’t want to miss it.

Back to the new year- it’s MY year. I can feel it. I’m going to grow so much as a person in 2019 that it makes my heart want to burst through my chest.

I told you all my word for the new year is FEARLESS and I’m seriously so excited to implement that word into every single day.

2018 taught me so much about myself. I really learned what makes my heart happy, what to focus on and what to say no to. I can see more clearly now where I want to take both of my businesses and can’t wait to see it all unfold.

I also dig deeper into my relationship with Jesus this year. My husband and I were both baptized on Easter and have dedicated more time and energy to our relationships with the Lord. Because of this, my goal for 2019 is to keep building that relationship and to understand the Bible more clearly.

Gah, just telling you all about what the year taught me and what some of my goals are makes my mood a little lighter. I’m so excited for the new year and for you all to join me.

Have you set goals for the new year?

Have you evaluated your 2018 and decided what was great, what needs help and how to make changes?

It really is a fresh new start for all of us. I challenge you all to write goals down and share them with the world. Once the universe knows what you want, things will start to fall into place.
