We are only a few weeks into the new year and I already feel a sense of peace and fulfillment.
I had set high expectations for myself going into the new year. Goals I want to accomplish, habits I want to drop and others to gain.
Self growth is my focus this year. I’ve had these seeds planted inside myself for the last few years that started blooming last year and I’m sure will fully blossom by the end of 2019.
You know when you can feel the change coming? You can almost taste it? That’s how I’ve felt for almost a year. Yes, that means I’ve had to be patient and have faith that God is working His magic. No, it hasn’t always been easy.
But the thing is, I’ve followed my heart and what He’s told me. I’ve read books, gone to events, dug into the Bible, listened to podcasts and blogged what He’s put on my heart for the world to read.
By doing all these things and having faith in the process, I know His plan will pan out like it’s supposed to.
We may not always be able to see the big picture. It takes a lot of little pieces to put that giant puzzle together. If you’re missing one piece, it will never be completed like it was intended.
Sometimes change isn’t something that can happen overnight. Sometimes it takes years of little changes to make your life better or different.
You may have to fail over and over to actually see that those failures are wins. No one can go out into the world, make no mistakes and see growth that will last.
To really grow as a person, it takes blood sweat and tears..{{more tears than anything.}} It’s really hard some days to put one foot in front of the other or jump into that risk like it’s not going to hurt. It’s probably going to hurt, but by golly it will be worth it.
I’m excited to keep chuggin along this year. To take all the little steps that are necessary to see the big picture unfold. So many incredible things are going to happen this year for myself and for you. We just have to put the work in and have faith.
Let your hair down and breathe deep. Stand tall and be fearless.
