Friends, is it just me or is it a Monday for sure?!
My eyeballs didn’t want to wake up this morning & my mind was already full of anxiety. Great.
The weekend was relaxing and crazy at the same time. You all heard about my Friday. Nothing exciting happened- total win. Saturday my mom and soon to be step dad came out to help with my kitchen.
I told you something exciting was changing and oh my word was I right!
Arden, my step dad to be, is super awesome & puts up with my crazy demands. I’m sure he thinks I’m crazy, because I see these things in my head but need him to read my mind.
He’s my handy man when it’s something I can’t do alone. I love doing diy projects but can’t always do them by myself. That’s where Arden comes to the rescue.
This is the before. That cabinet held all our food & baking supplies. The doors squeak and the kids were always in it. It’s now in the basement as my pantry for extras.
So, I wanted open shelving. Turns out my mom had kept part of the original pantry from the house I grew up in. You all know how much I love old things. It works perfect!!
The after is so good! I just have baskets of the kids snacks and bread upstairs now. I’m looking for containers for cereal and a few other things, but for now, I’m in Love.
Sunday, Raelee had a little dance recital at the local Children’s Day. She did so awesome! The rest of the day, Rae spent with the neighbor kids and I mopped the floor… on my hands and knees. It looked awesome for about 30 minutes. So there’s that.
This week, things change around here. I’m going to start working part time & that means I need to use all of my time wisely.
So today, laundry has to be done. Outfits picked out. Lunch packed. But more importantly, I have to get my mind ready for this.
I already run on caffeine & Jesus. I hope that’s enough to keep me going from here on out. I can do this!
Thank heavens my husband is so supportive and willing to do whatever it takes to make this work. I️ need out of the house to keep my sanity.
This morning, I was able to get to the gym for a quick, yet killer, workout. That always helps my mind chill out. It’s truly amazing how much better I feel when I workout. Maybe I should get up super early and get there every morning to get my mind straight for the rest of the day…
I’m super thankful for the job and what’t to come. Things may be a little crazy, but no excitement is boring.. Right?
It’s time for a Spark and getting things checked off my list. Happy Monday friends!
Kari
It looks fabulous! And how cool your Mom kept it from the house you grew up in and now you have it in your home where your children will grow up. I’m glad you had a blessed weekend.
Love you
